I wouldn t say that this is the best way to ask for a review but it s still great to utilize the confirmation email to remind the buyer that they can leave a review after they receive the order. There has been some talk about it but as far as i know there is still nothing in the works. Etsy doesn t allow sellers to leave reviews for buyers yet. Etsy actually goes farther than many sites by letting you set up an account after you buy something and connect the purchase to your account so you can leave a review.

I recommend testing the idea to see how it works. Some don t care one way or another about sending or receiving such messages. Some welcome the reminder.
